Jared’s Bar Mitzvah

The last one is always bittersweet. The third and final Katon Bar Mitzvah went out with a bang! They have been part of our Paired Images family since the beginning and now there are drivers licences and college applications. But just because they age doesn’t mean the jokes, love, silliness and laughter stop, in fact its only grown for this family. We took formal portraits at Temple Beth Ami in Rockville, MD where the service was held. For the party at Norbeck Country Club, Jared’s mom, Michelle, went with a hockey theme to reflect...

Ashley + Sean Married

Ashley and Sean’s wedding had some firsts for us… first wedding we’ve shot in West Virginia, first time we’ve had a bride hug her guests on her way up the isle, first time we’ve seen moonshine on the tables, etc. There was a sign by the escort cards that read, “You can find your seat here, but your place is on the dance floor.” Ashley meant every word in that sign and if you weren’t on the dance floor she made it happen. At this event there were tears but not without laughter, sparkly details, a...

Colleen + John Married

Colleen and I met 20 years ago walking to high school to start our freshman year. She made me feel welcome in a new town and I kept her sane through her many endeavors. So naturally I was thrilled to hear of her engagement and ready to keep her calm through wedding planning! It was also fun getting to know John through the wedding process and seeing what a good match they make. We started at Colleen’s childhood home on the day of the wedding and then went to St. Mary’s in Rockville, MD for a Catholic ceremony. Of course the...

Bridget and Gary Married

The Hotel Monaco DC has become one of our favorite venues, of course it is an awesome space with lots of opportunities for great photos and an extremely efficient staff, but some of our most favorite weddings have taken place here. Bridget and Gary are no exception and having them as clients was kismet! They chose to do their first look on our favorite monument, The DC War Memorial, where we encountered a segway tour, friendly squirrels, and a gymnast. Then it was back to the Hotel Monaco DC for the sweetest ceremony ever. To quote the...

Benny’s Bar Mitzvah

With their quick wit and dry humor this awesome family captured our hearts a few years back and we were so happy to be able to photograph them again at son #2, Benny’s Bar Mitzvah. The photos ahead of time were taken at Temple Beth Ami where Max the youngest kept Benny and the rest with real smiles. The next day was the ceremony and the party at Bretton Woods. As you will see below the party was Lego themed, amazingly Lego themed! The guests were greeted by a light up Taj Mahal, a huge Lego face of Benny and Lego men, women and...

Jennifer + Craig Married

Agung and I had a wonderful time photographing Jennifer and Craig’s wedding. The pair certainly have an eye for choosing beautiful things and locations. This was our first time to Morven Park and its infinite photo locations. Jennifer and Craig had scooped it out weeks in advance for portraits after their Catholic wedding ceremony. Everything fit so well together including the bride and groom. Their very lively wedding party kept us on our toes and provided much entertainment throughout the day. And as usual the little nieces and...

Tara + Paul Married

I think that Glen Echo Park is such a fun place to get married and it fits this pair so well! Paul is the owner of Glen Echo Glass Works located in the park. If you have not had a chance to check them out I highly recommend it! Paul is an amazing artist and a good and patient teacher. I have taken a few classes from him over the past couple of years and I am totally hooked! Tara and I have just met but I can tell she adds excitement and a different type of creativity to the mix. Congratulations guys! I am so happy that I was able to...

Margaret + Scott Married

We were so excited to have the opportunity to work with Rebecca from Blue Canary Events again! She brought us one of the sweetest pairs ever, Margaret and Scott. This wedding was the perfect mixture of pretty, the church, the beautiful bouquets and that amazing veil; and funky, the Torpedo Factory and Round Midnight Band. A few other highlights were Main Events addictive mac and cheese (there was an entire course dedicated to it because its that good), the huge Marge and Homer Simpson boards brought out during the mother of the bride’s...

Katie + Ryan Married

Katie and Ryan were married at the very cool Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster PA. I have had the pleasure of knowing Katie and her wonderful loving family for many years, so I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was document this day. The pair first met in kindergarten but as they got older it was obvious that they were meant to be together. Katie looked stunning in her unique wedding gown which was perfectly accessorized with heals that her mom covered in blue glitter. The first look and ceremony was complete with sweetness and tears,...

Katie + Mike Married

Katie and Mike’s beautiful wedding day was filled with family, love and tradition.  As the pair said “I do”, their sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews surrounded them, making the wedding party a family affair. The communion chalice, which is partially held together by grandmother’s wedding ring, has been used by the family for generations. Following the ceremony we headed to the National Harbor for beautiful scenery and epic portraits. Then to the Sunset Room to dance the night away! Thank you for letting me and my...
