The Hotel Monaco DC has become one of our favorite venues, of course it is an awesome space with lots of opportunities for great photos and an extremely efficient staff, but some of our most favorite weddings have taken place here. Bridget and Gary are no exception and having them as clients was kismet! They chose to do their first look on our favorite monument, The DC War Memorial, where we encountered a segway tour, friendly squirrels, and a gymnast. Then it was back to the Hotel Monaco DC for the sweetest ceremony ever. To quote the officiant “I’ve preformed a lot of ceremonies and Gary’s vows were the best I’ve ever heard.” He had the whole room tearing up! We loved all the Grateful Dead influenced details mixed with the classy ones, a true representation of the pair’s style. All and all, just an honor and so much fun to photograph. They also went to my favorite part of the world for their honeymoon, southeast Asia, and I can’t wait to hear all about their adventures.
