Poppy + Jake Married

As the story in our household goes, Poppy one day confided in my mom that there was this really cute boy that worked as a Walmart shopping cart collector and who happened to be in her high school pottery class. It wasn’t long after that the pair were attached at the hip. Close to eight years later I am so happy that Jake is officially part of the family! The last of the Latos Sisters is married off! Poppy and Jake’s beautiful wedding at the Parkway Marina at Smith Mountain Lake in Southern Virginia was quite the event! I have to...

Kristin + Eric Married

Like caramel and apples, family and laughter, The Comus Inn and a beautiful sunset, “some things are meant to be together.” And we couldn’t agree more! With Sugarloaf Mountain in the background this perfect pair were married. Every bit of this day was wonderful and was a reflection of how awesome Kristin and Eric are. Apples and sunflowers added colorful details, Eric’s sister played the violin for the ceremony, so much silliness and sincerity, one of the most amazing sunsets we’ve ever seen, chocolate covered...

Nidhi + Adam Married

Nidhi and Adam were an unlikely pair, opposites in every way, but together a perfect match. She, a poised surgeon always ready to take charge and make things happen. He, a loyal goof ball from the Midwest who’s laughter is infectious. They had a beautiful outdoor traditional ceremony and a very lively ballroom reception. I think if you were to ask each of them what their favorite part of the day was, Adam would say the Baraat, he had a smile ear to ear as he rode that horse while his friends and family danced around him. And I think...

Carrie + Matt Married

This fun loving pair had blue sky’s and one of those amazing golden sunsets that photographers die for. Carrie and Matt were married at Musket Ridge Golf Club with it’s beautiful rolling hills and mountain views.  The specialty drink was the orange crush, a pair of heart shaped sun glasses turned one into a fantastic dancer and a couple of skeeballs were made to say “I Do”. If that wasn’t awesome enough, I (Latos), and my second shooter for the day (Jon), went to high school with Carrie and her brother. We had...

Colleen + Scott Married

Finally! After 9 years, 11 months and 8 days of partnership, Colleen and Scott tied the knot (literally and figuratively)! The day started at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. We then traveled to one of our favorite venues, the Baltimore Museum of Industry for a first look in the drug store, portraits in the sewing room, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, a wedding ceremony under the pavilion, a pig roast cocktail hour and dancing to 90’s rap until we were kicked out. As if that wasn’t enough to wish you had attended this...

Ashley + Chris Married

Ashley and Chris were married at Fairfax United Methodist Church. The rings that they exchanged had a special meaning to the pair, Ashley’s ring belonged at one time to Chris’s mom and Chris’s ring was made from a ring that belonged to his late father. Once the ceremony was complete we headed over to the beautiful Blenheim Estate where everyone enjoyed delicious food, amazing gluten free cupcakes  and dancing. In the end, the kids stole the show in the photo booth that we brought. hair+makeup- Jody Rusnak church:  Fairfax...

Carrie + Micah Married

Carrie and Micah were married by the beautiful Newfound Lake in Hebron, New Hampshire. Once upon a time, back in sixth/seventh/eighth grade, I spent a lot of wonderful hours with Carrie’s family. Her sister, Erin, and I were inseparable and the brooding older siblings, Carrie was her carefree little sister who loved life and took challenges by the horns. I had no doubt that this would be one of the best weddings I’ve ever attended. This wedding was complete with a ceremony overlooking the lake, a barn reception, DIY details, a...

Leah + Daniel

Leah, American, and Daniel, German, met and fell in love on a heavy metal cruise. Shortly after, Leah moved to Germany for the pair to start their lives together. One year ago they had a small wedding ceremony in Germany. In July 2014 they came to the states to celebrate their union with friends and family. Cabell’s Mill provided the perfect stage for the intimate event and caterer, Root and Stem, nailed the decor and awesome food. I loved documenting this celebration of such a unique pair and instantly felt like part of the group. My...

Cynthia + Caesar Married

Cynthia and Caesar’s wedding was that DC type of magical. We started our day at The Willard where the girls had fun getting ready and the guys made sure we had enough umbrellas for the leering rain clouds. Next we were on to the National Cathedral where the pair’s touching first look was shared in a hide away of the Bishops Garden. We finished portraits just in the nick of time before the rain and just as the traditional ceremony was to begin. Last we headed to the Top of the Town were everyone partied the night away over looking...
