D+M Married at the Hotel Monaco DC
D and M were married at the Hotel Monaco in Washington DC. This wedding was very bittersweet for us. It was Paired Images’ last wedding. You’ll still be able to get great service in the DC area from Jess via Jessica Latos Photography (her solo project). And stay tuned for a link to follow my 2016 adventure. But we will miss working together. But back to the pair below… this wedding was all about family. In the first image, the wedding dress is hung next to the mother of the bride’s wedding dress, which the bride wore...

To begin the wedding day of Anna and Aaron we met the pair at The Morrison House in Alexandria VA. After a very sweet first look and some awesome portraits on the stairs we all headed to Harbour View in Woodbridge VA for the ceremony and reception. The day was a bit damp and cold but guests were greeted with cozy blankets for the ceremony! The reception consisted of cakes, caviar and cookies, lovely speeches, a packed dance floor, and a sparkler exit. venue – Harbour View hotel- The Morrison House officiant – Cantor Rachel Rhodes...

We love it when geeks wed! This delightfully awkward pair incorporated all of their favorite things into their Woodend wedding. When we asked Dora and Tom what their colors were, they replied, “all of the colors!” Dora is a graphic designer and created all of the printed materials. They were married under a quilt that Dora’s mom made, which was then hung at the reception as a backdrop for photos. The escort cards were Pogs. Tables included colorful wildflowers and physics apparatuses. Dinner was passed around family style...

Kim and Tom were married at The Historic McFarland House in Martinsburg, WV. We are no strangers to this family. Four years ago we had the pleasure of photographing Kim’s sister’s wedding (Erin pictured below with Kim in the tub). We absolutely adore them especially the newest member, Peyton. Without a doubt, both sisters chose to spend their lives with great partners. A few of our favorite things… getting Kim dressed and having fun with all those details, the emotions during the ceremony, the veil blowing in the wind, and...

Rachel and Kirk were married at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria VA. Their black, white and gold event was simply classic which they then layered with modern details. We love weddings that are a perfect reflection of the pair which is then all brought together by an awesome team of vendors. After getting ready at the Hotel Monaco in Alexandria we headed to The Carlyle House for the first look and portraits. Then we wandered around the King Street Art Festival on our way to the ceremony. One of the big highlights from the day was...

Love this pair and following all their adventures together! Instead of following this time, we got to document their great wedding adventure. Courtney and Matt were married at Hollow Creek Golf Club in Frederick MD. We were told straight away that the reception would be unforgettable and they didn’t disappoint. But before that, we enjoyed portraits in a weeping willow tree (until a swarm of bugs took over), a ceremony where the bride’s brother walked her down the isle and Matt made everyone cry with his sweet vows, and last but...

You know those rare, exceptional days when it rains from sunrise to sunset… Lauren and Ken got married on one of those days in the Poconos. Which could be a metaphor for their unique love and personalities. From the moment I saw this pair together I knew I had to photograph their wedding, never mind that they weren’t engaged yet, anyone could see it was kismet. Because of their adventurous spirits, they wanted to incorporate the outdoors into their wedding. Each table was named after a hike they had completed together, their...

Sammy, a budding performer, has become a Bar Mitzvah! We met the family at B’nai Israel earlier in the week where Sammy successfully directed his own photo shoot. Thank you Sammy for the great ideas! We then headed to the awards ceremony, I mean Sammy’s party, at the Bethesda North Marriott where Sammy’s vision came to life. It started with an epic red carpet entrance followed by a performance on the piano and then awards were given during the candle lighting. Major props to Brynne at Pop Color Events and MC Moses for...
