Even better than having great in-laws, are in-laws that recommend your business!  Eric, the groom and Phil, my boyfriend, grew up right around the corner from each other in Camp Hill, PA and when Mary Jo, Phil’s mom, heard about the wedding she quickly recommended us.  The pair live and met in the DC area, but decided to tie the knot in Virginia Beach, where Ellesse grew up.   So Rachel and I traveled to Virginia  Beach on a very rainy, windy weekend.  Note there are no outdoor photos for this reason, even walking from the car into the hotel was treacherous!  The day of the wedding, we had a delicious breakfast with my in-laws and then I headed to Ciao Bella Salon where the very talented Alycia, did hair and make-up.  Rachel stayed at the hotel with the boys, while Eric’s dad helped him reattach his jacket button that popped off!  The ceremony took place at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church where the pair integrated some Filipino traditions into the ceremony.  We then made our way to the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel for the reception where the dance floor was never empty.  Julie from As You Wish, planned and executed a great event!  And that beautiful cake was created by Jennifer from Shockley’s Sweet Shoppe.
