Habitat’s New Gaithersburg Site

Posted in Volunteer

Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County has started on a new site in Gaithersburg!  The crew spent the first two days doing clean up on this 2.9 acre property.  They hope to recycle as much as they can from this very over grown land before the official ground breaking scheduled for spring of 2012.  Currently there are two houses and four other structures on the property, along with lots of treasures.

“Habitat plans to build a 19 townhome community for qualified families with household incomes of 30% to less than 60% of the Area Median Income. The townhome units will consist of 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath on 3 levels, with a garage on the 1st level. Ken Malm of CraftStar homes and HFH-MC board member donated House plans for this project.”

  1. Ladies, I didn’t know you could still find places like this in Montgomery County. It’s always strange and fascinating to poke around ’em.
