alicia and nick married

Posted in Weddings

When you know, you know.  Alicia and Nick met a little over a year ago.  For those of us that move at a snail’s pace when it comes to relationships we say things like, “it’s too soon”, “the honeymoon period isn’t over yet”, yada yada… mostly to justify our own pace.  But, when you know, you know.  And if you spent any time with this pair, you too would know.  My first meeting was with Alicia, introverted but driven, kind and beautiful, we talked together in our soft spoken voices in a noisy coffee shop about wedding details.  It wasn’t until the engagement session that Latos and I got to meet Nick, extroverted, opinionated but trusting, and quick to laugh.  And then we knew.

The wedding day only proved this further, where I was surrounded by great family and friends, well wishes and compliments.  Even though I photographed the wedding by myself (which is unusual for us) I never felt alone.  We started at The Historic Falls Church in Falls Church VA.  Then moved to the Hilton in old town Alexandria where DJ Ray, from Chris Laich DJ’s, completely rocked and had the whole room on the dance floor all night.
