Carrie + Matt Married

Posted by on 2:38 am in Weddings | 0 comments

This fun loving pair had blue sky’s and one of those amazing golden sunsets that photographers die for. Carrie and Matt were married at Musket Ridge Golf Club with it’s beautiful rolling hills and mountain views.  The specialty drink was the orange crush, a pair of heart shaped sun glasses turned one into a fantastic dancer and a couple of skeeballs were made to say “I Do”. If that wasn’t awesome enough, I (Latos), and my second shooter for the day (Jon), went to high school with Carrie and her brother. We had...

Colleen + Scott Married

Finally! After 9 years, 11 months and 8 days of partnership, Colleen and Scott tied the knot (literally and figuratively)! The day started at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. We then traveled to one of our favorite venues, the Baltimore Museum of Industry for a first look in the drug store, portraits in the sewing room, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, a wedding ceremony under the pavilion, a pig roast cocktail hour and dancing to 90′s rap until we were kicked out. As if that wasn’t enough to wish you had attended this...

Ashley + Chris Married

Ashley and Chris were married at Fairfax United Methodist Church. The rings that they exchanged had a special meaning to the pair, Ashley’s ring belonged at one time to Chris’s mom and Chris’s ring was made from a ring that belonged to his late father. Once the ceremony was complete we headed over to the beautiful Blenheim Estate where everyone enjoyed delicious food, amazing gluten free cupcakes  and dancing. In the end, the kids stole the show in the photo booth that we brought. hair+makeup- Jody Rusnak church:  Fairfax...

Carrie + Micah Married

Carrie and Micah were married by the beautiful Newfound Lake in Hebron, New Hampshire. Once upon a time, back in sixth/seventh/eighth grade, I spent a lot of wonderful hours with Carrie’s family. Her sister, Erin, and I were inseparable and the brooding older siblings, Carrie was her carefree little sister who loved life and took challenges by the horns. I had no doubt that this would be one of the best weddings I’ve ever attended. This wedding was complete with a ceremony overlooking the lake, a barn reception, DIY details, a...

Leah + Daniel

Leah, American, and Daniel, German, met and fell in love on a heavy metal cruise. Shortly after, Leah moved to Germany for the pair to start their lives together. One year ago they had a small wedding ceremony in Germany. In July 2014 they came to the states to celebrate their union with friends and family. Cabell’s Mill provided the perfect stage for the intimate event and caterer, Root and Stem, nailed the decor and awesome food. I loved documenting this celebration of such a unique pair and instantly felt like part of the group. My...

Cynthia + Caesar Married

Cynthia and Caesar’s wedding was that DC type of magical. We started our day at The Willard where the girls had fun getting ready and the guys made sure we had enough umbrellas for the leering rain clouds. Next we were on to the National Cathedral where the pair’s touching first look was shared in a hide away of the Bishops Garden. We finished portraits just in the nick of time before the rain and just as the traditional ceremony was to begin. Last we headed to the Top of the Town were everyone partied the night away over looking...

Meagan + Clint Married

Meagan and Clint were married at Herrington on the Bay, a tropical paradise on the Chesapeake Bay. When we first met this pair we spent hours with them, laughing, telling stories and answering Clint’s many questions (he has a very inquisitive nature). Their wedding was exactly what I had imagined, friends and family as fun and warm as they are, relaxed with a sense of humor, and all about the love. There was a threat of rain all day, but it only made the sky awesome and the air cool, a small break from summer. dress- Mori Lee...

Wes + Brian Married

We jumped for joy last year when Wes and Brian hired us to document their 2014 wedding, and then spent the entire year waiting for it to arrive. It was everything we expected and more! We started the day at The Hotel Monaco DC listening to pop songs while Latos learned to tie bow ties. After a few toasts the family piled into the bus and headed to The War Memorial for an intimate ceremony. It was one of those, perfect weather, cute kids, tears and laughter kind of ceremonies that we all dream about. After portraits we had a bit of down time...

Tina + Matt Married

So many great friends of ours getting married this year! And we are honored to photograph each and every one. Tina and I met in high school and quickly began swapping lunch snacks. Over the last couple of years I’ve been getting to know Matt and am so delighted at how well matched the pair are! Opposites and similarities in all the good ways. Tina isn’t exactly the touchy feely type and even though I knew her love for Matt was great, it was oozing out of every pore on their wedding day. The first look was one of the most emotional...
